This study presents an evaluation of the environmental impacts of various vehicle technologies within the European Union (EU27) and the United Kingdom (UK), focusing on use-stage emissions from Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles (ICEVs) adhering to Euro 2 to Euro 7 standards, alongside Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Autonomous Vehicles (AVs). By leveraging detailed emissions data and forecast scenarios up to 2050, the research quantitatively assesses the potential reductions in greenhouse gases and other pollutants under current and upcoming emission regulations.

This study analyses how the intensity of the use of digital sharing economy platforms has evolved in the European Union in recent years, including during the pandemic, and whether there are differences between European regions. In the digital field, work has begun on regulations and public policies that coexist with different policies in the regions and municipalities. Using spatial econometric techniques, this study provides a comparative analysis of space and time that identifies regional inequalities in terms of the intensity of demand for accommodations offered on digital sharing economy platforms.
